Dashboard and Card Creation #
To get started, log in to your LoyaltyNation account and go to the main dashboard.
To create a new card, click on the card section in the left-side menu.
LoyaltyNation offers over 100 ready-made templates with different designs for various local businesses. For this tutorial, we will choose the coffee shop loyalty card template design.
Loyalty Programs #
Once you have selected the template, the next step is to choose the loyalty mechanics for your card. LoyaltyNation offers five loyalty programs for retaining existing clients and three for acquiring new customers. In this tutorial, we will focus on the retention cards.
There are several options available, including stamp cards, tier-based and point-based loyalty cards, membership cards, tier-based discount cards, cashback cards, multi-pass cards, and certificate cards.
For this tutorial, we will choose the stamp card template, as it is one of the most popular options.
Settings #
After selecting the loyalty program, you will be directed to the settings page. Here, you can customize the rules and settings for your loyalty card.
Start by setting up the card expiration date, run an all-time loyalty program, or run short-term promotions for specific events.
In the settings, you can also add your business locations and enable push notifications for cardholders near each location. This feature is particularly useful for local businesses.
Next, you can customize the customer data form for installing the loyalty card. This information will be collected in your customer base in the CRM system of LoyaltyNation. You can use this data to segment your customers and communicate with them personally.
If you plan to distribute your card through different channels, such as Facebook ads, Google ads, or offline, you can add UTM links for tracking purposes. These links can be placed in specific channels to start distributing your loyalty cards.
In addition, you can choose the phone mask and privacy policy for your card. You can also integrate your Facebook pixel code and Google Analytics code to track statistics such as open rates and conversion rates.
Once you have completed the settings, click on the continue button to proceed to the design section.
Design Customization #
In this step, you can customize the appearance of your loyalty card. You can define the number of stamps required for customers to be rewarded. For this tutorial, let’s set it to 10 stamps.
You can also customize the appearance of active and inactive stamps using the provided icons or by uploading your own PNG files. Additionally, you can customize the card’s background, colors, and custom fields.
Card Description #
In the last step, you will customize the card’s description section. This includes the promotion name, how customers can earn a stamp, your company name, reward details, and transactional push messages for earned stamps and rewards.
You can also specify the initial number of stamps after card installation, referral program rules, referral program rewards, and active links for your website and social media platforms.
Lastly, you can add welcome and feedback links, collect reviews on Google Maps, Yellow Pages, and Yelp, and provide your terms of use and contact information.
Activation and Distribution #
Once you have finalized the card’s customization, click on the finish button. Before you can start distributing your loyalty card, you need to activate your loyalty account. Activation allows you to create unlimited loyalty cards based on the chosen template.
After activation, your loyalty card type, program terms, and expiration dates cannot be changed. You will be provided with a QR code that can be downloaded, copied, or shared to start distributing your loyalty card.
LoyaltyNation also offers ready-made promo materials in PDF format that can be downloaded and printed for use in your business location.
